BanglaLion has declared that Initially they will give 128 kbps speed to the home user.

I think it is low speed comparatively Grameen Phone internet.
But Bangla lion billing charge is comparatively low. for 128 kbps package 600+Vat taka per month.
And another important thing is connection cost. Coz user have to buy a Wimax modem.

What is your opinion about their offer?
What is your expectation from them?

Its 128 kbps that means 16KB. Its not high speed. And including VAT price is 690 taka per month.
Comparatively its good.
But we want more speed.
Ami jokhon aage smile internet use kortam tokon 900 taka er jonno approximately 16-20 KB speed petam.
Erpor smile down hobar por theke ami IS Pros limited er line use kortesi. tara amake 1200 taka er jonno 32KB speed ditese.

Amader kono governmenti technology er bapar e khub besi active na.
dekha jak ei gov ki kore.

128kbps (8kbps = 1KB)is not high speed in 2009 year. Coz we are now using submarine.
But apni jodi ei price and speed compare koren onno ISP gulor bortoman connection er sathe tahole bolte hobe BanglaLion Wimax offer is good. Apni only 690 takai motamuti valo internet passen.
Karon Grameen Phone internet dei (may be 850tk+15%vat) approximately avarage 12KB-15KB.
R dial up internet dei maximum 5KB.
Abar citycell zoom 700 takai only 5GB bandwith dei. ar Banglalion dibe unlimited bandwith.
ar je jei kothai boluk apni speed measure korben apnar pc te kono kisu koto speed e download hoitese. ei speed tai actually orginal speed.

i have asked Banglalion about Wimaxmax modem price. the have told me that price can be 3000 to 4000 taka.
I also asked them is it necessary for laptop coz already laptop has builtin wireless card. they told me yea its also need. laptop's card is for wifi and this is wimax.

currently i m using zoom 2GB connection. my average download speed is 18-20 KB/sec. is it a good speed?

Wimax modem er exat price ekhono declared kore nai.. ami ask koresilam amake bolse 3000 the 4000 takar moddhe. but ami mone kori eta onek besi. Ekhon 1300 takai mobile set paoya jay sekhane 3000/4000 taka modem er dam hobar kono karon nai. dam hoya uchit 1000 taka.
Warranty 1 year er besi mone hoi na dibe.

from GP at night i get about 190kbps... and monthly fixed it appx. 900 and with GP i can go anywhere i like. but with wimax, it will now only work in certain areas of dhaka.

will banglalion offer some more package. i mean, i don't mind paying more for good/higher speed...

Wi-max give us dedicated bandwidth.On the other hand edge modem or zoom provide shared bandwidth.This 1 is the vital issue.In that sense Wi-max is much better.
